Silent night, neon-lit night See yon birds, flashing bright Flap their wings with neon-pink glee Unkle Phil gives no apology As the light wars rage on As the light wars rage on
With no apologies for the bad rhyming, it's freakin' late. ;)
...MM..."great minds"...;D check out the title of my latest "missive" in the wars of "en-lightenment"... which I assure one and all was being written at about the same time as your comments... [obviously, the pattern hit me too...]
so here's my 2nd verse to your first... [you DID inspire my 1st Cat-mas carol, after all...]
[in a minor mode, with sitar...]
"silent night... bright gaudy lights... orb of tack... taste you lack... round yon foul fowl... so tacky & pink... some say it's "kitch-y"... I just say it stinks... somebody's asking for trouble... and he just might get it double...

...I thought I detected a noxious glow
through yon southern window...
though all we felines & canine here, are in mourning for Gracie tonight...
perhaps tomorrow a pithy comment will rise to my fingers...
tonight, though, is only sorrow...
alas poor Gracie...we miss her so...
Hmm... Is there a theme developing with the post titles?
"All Is Calm"
"All Is Bright!"
Is this what's next?
"Round Yon Virgin's Neon-Lit Child"
"Holy Infant, Your Color's Too Bright"
"Won't Let Catsinger Sleep,
Won't Let Catsinger Sleep"
Bwa-ha-ha-haaaaa...

hee, hee, hee...
Whoa, this war deserves its own book. I'm trying to cram to get it all in before New Years. May have to skip to the finish.
Love the cleverly fractured Christmas carol verses!
